WWE: John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis at "Over The Limit" Pay-Per-View
Before John Cena went to war with Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, he accused Raw and SmackDown General Manager John Laurinaitis of trying to put him "out of business" by bringing Brock back to WWE.
Now, it looks like the power-hungry GM wants to personally eradicate Cena from WWE.
Still nursing the wounds from his punishing clash with Brock, the Cenation leader was asked to meet Laurinaitis in the ring on Raw SuperShow for a face-to-face talk, in which the GM would reveal who Cena's opponent at WWE Over the Limit would be. At first, it appeared that Lord Tensai was Laurinaitis' hand-picked Superstar, but following an unbelievable double-team assault, the choice became brutally clear: Laurinaitis will be the man who goes one-on-one with Cena on May 20.
On repeated occasions since WrestleMania XXVIII, Laurinaitis made it known which Superstar he believes represents the future of WWE, and it's definitely not Cena. The Raw and SmackDown General Manager proved he's willing to do whatever it takes to keep Brock happy by agreeing to the outrageous contract demands laid out by the behemoth prior to Extreme Rules.
Against all odds, Cena overcame the seemingly-unstoppable Lesnar in an Extreme Rules Match, but it still wasn't enough to convince Laurinaitis that it's the 10-time WWE Champion, not Brock, who rightfully deserves to be called the "face of WWE." Then, in a shocking confrontation on Raw SuperShow, Laurinaitis made his boldest power play yet, attacking and mocking Cena while his left arm was still healing.
Cena isn't the first Superstar to tangle with arguably the most polarizing figure in WWE. It was just a few months ago when WWE Champion CM Punk had it out with Laurinaitis, even going so far as to knock him out with the Go To Sleep on the Jan. 23 edition of Raw SuperShow. However, Laurinaitis didn't let his scuffles with Punk derail his quest to remain the dominant decision-making force on WWE programming, and he later took control of SmackDown in addition to Raw with a resounding victory over Team Teddy at WrestleMania.
At WWE Over the Limit, just three weeks will have passed since Cena's savage battle against Lesnar at Extreme Rules. Will the Cenation leader be able to recover in time for his collision with the Raw and SmackDown GM? Or can Laurinaitis pull off an upset and break Cena's spirit coming off one of the biggest victories of his career? Find out at Over the Limit on Sunday, May 20, live on pay-per-view.

I hope the WWE board wakes up and fires IDIOT GM even before next Pay for View. I don't think Cena, after the outrageous attack on Raw, should fight Idiot. He needs time to really heal. He is a VERY good person and one of the better wrestlers that really loves the business. The violence is getting out of hand. Especially for the kids to witness this. This is NOT entertainment when good people REALLY are getting badly injured. Yes, they may sign off on this, but good people don't need to be permanently hurt. WAKE up WWE executives and Vince. Even your own son in law was injured!!!!! What's up with that?????!!!! Get rid of the idiots you bring in that just want to HURT people and not bring entertainment to millions of fans.
ReplyDeleteLaryngitis is on a total power trip. It's classic WWE storyline (think former HHH/Sean Michaels vs. Vince McMahon). Laryngitis is the guy EVERYONE loves to hate. In addition it just makes those on the fence about Cena cross over to feeling bad for him, and those who love him--love him all the more!
ReplyDeleteBut (hopefully) this is the beginning of the end for Johnny boy. He seems to be on a streak of bad choices including:
1. Allowing himself to be bullied into a contract he could not possibly deliver.
2. Not backing the boss, and undermining HHH's position as COO. Whining about Hunter being "unfair."
3. Going out of his way to humiliate Teddy Long. Forgetting Teddy has many years more experience as GM than he does.
Let's hope the invisible "board of directors" see all of this and give Johnny boy the "reality check" (and pink slip) he obviously needs,to get the h*ll over himself. ;)

ReplyDeleteI am in agreement with the two anonymous comments. The Board should have woken up by now and seen the real John L. He is only power hungry and doesn't give a damn about the WWE or the wrestlers. He only wants it for himself. He is sending the wrong message to the universe and particularly the kids Rise above Hate isn't just about Cena, it's become a motto of the WWE. They support the no bullying in everyway; however, with John L he is letting people know that bullying is ok. He needs the pink slip for both of his positions.

I watched last nite's RAW. It was despicable and totally out of control. First Triple H is attacked. And then John Cena is attacked from behind. John Laurenitis is a weasel and a skank. He needs to be fired and should be arrested for assault and battery for putting his hands on John Cena. He should also be fired for totally abusing his power. John Cena and Triple H i am a true fan of you both. You are both fair and honest, and you practice what you preach. Now Johnny Laurenitis is setting a really bad example by thinking that Brock Lesnar and people power will turn the WWE Universe around. The WWE Universe is the one who will have the final say. when the channels start getting changed and you start losing revenue. Wake up Board of Directors. This needs to be fixed!!
ReplyDeleteWhat Larinitis did is clearly uncalled for. First, when Eve loses her title at Mainia, she tags zack and disqualifies him so team teddy would lose. We need Vince, HHH and teddy back. Larinitis goes begging to board of Directors like a school boy claiming he's learned his lesson and won't do it again when he was interim. Now he's gm of both raw and smackdown, disrespecting&bullying the wrestlers and I have lost respect for Larinitis. Larinitiz&Brock are the worst that's happened to WWE, fans of wrestlers and the reason why ratings are suffering and both must be fired. Larinitis should have been fired a long time ago and I expect him to be fired.What he's doing is abuse authority, disrespect&bully wrestlers, even disrespected HHH and bullied him!and HHH is out there in a executive position and Larinitis attacks HHH&John! I agree that GM must be fired by the WWE executives. That stupid idiot does not know the meaning of real entertainment. WWE has many kid viewers which idolizes various WWE wrestler especially John Cena. With what's happening now, it's not entertaining anymore for the fans as well as for the kids viewers because of the what the stupid idiot GM is doing. Does he want to kill all WWE wrestlers? Is he the Satan of WWE? For someone to act and think that way, maybe he really is the Devil that needs to be killed.
