World Wrestling Entertainment and NBC today announced that multiple-platinum, Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Sean "Diddy" Combs’ new group Diddy-Dirty Money, charismatic King of Comedy Cedric "The Entertainer" and Modern Family’s Ariel Winter will join WWE on NBC's third annual holiday special telecast, WWE Tribute to the Troops. The hour-long special honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces will air Saturday, Dec. 18 (9-10 p.m. ET / 8-9 p.m. CT) on NBC.
The star-studded holiday event, taped at Fort Hood, Texas, will feature music from Diddy-Dirty Money who will perform "Coming Home" off their new album Last Train to Paris. Emmy-winner Ariel Winter will sing "The National Anthem" and Cedric "The Entertainer" will bring his award-winning brand of comedy to the special. The telecast will also star The View’s Sherri Shepherd spreading holiday cheer and Miss USA, Rima Fakih, who will announce WWE matches featuring such WWE Superstars as John Cena, Randy Orton, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Big Show and others.
Thousands of men and women based at Fort Hood have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. WWE Tribute to the Troops will chronicle WWE Superstars and Divas visiting Fort Hood to meet with the troops and their families this holiday season, culminating with a special live in-ring performance in front of thousands of military personnel.
This special marks the eighth consecutive year that WWE will bring its one-of-a-kind entertainment to our service men and women to thank them for their commitment to the country and recognition of their sacrifices. WWE Tribute to the Troops has become a holiday tradition and is considered TV’s most patriotic and heartwarming show of the year.
On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers will welcome the Bruins to town for the first time this season. On Monday, they welcomed John Cena and the WWE to the Wells Fargo Center.
Yahoo's Puck Daddy blog points out that Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger and head coach Peter Laviolette are apparently such big fans that they decided to present Cena, a Massachusetts native and one of WWE's biggest stars, a Flyers jersey. Fittingly, Cena was presented with a No. 54 jersey, his number from when he played college football at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
This isn't the first time Cena's been seen donning Boston rivals' colors. He's admitted to being both an Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Rays fan and has been seen wearing a Lakers jersey in the past.
As previously reported, WWE is testing a new character for John Cena .. his Mexican cousin, Juan Cena. Juan Cena made his WWE debut at Sunday’s Raw live event in Salisbury, Maryland as he competed in a Triple Threat Match against Wade Barrett and WWE Champion The Miz.
During his ring intro, it was announced that Juan Cena hails from West Newbarnia, Mexico and weighs in at 108.86 kilos. John Cena is of course from West Newbury, Massachusetts. and he wrestles at 240 lbs (equivalent to 108.86 kilos). No explanation was given for Juan Cena’s appearance.
Juan donned a purple and yellow colored mask for the bout, which color coordinated with a shirt and hat bearing his cousin’s name. He used the multi-time champion’s trademark maneuvers during the bout, including the Five Knuckle Shuffle and Attitude Adjustment. The match’s finish saw Alex Riley pull Juan out of the ring after hitting Barrett with the Attitude Adjustment, which allowed The Miz to capture the pinfall victory.
Juan Cena is being advertised for several live WWE events in the coming weeks and months. WWE is promoting several upcoming RAW live events with the following line: “Will John Cena crash the party?”

Accounts of John Cena’s departure have been greatly exaggerated. During a match pitting WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater against Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu, Cena showed everyone he isn’t going away without a fight. As the Nexus pair fought on, Cena weaved through the crowd and watched from a ringside seat, allowing The World’s Strongest Man to capitalize.
Wade Barrett confronted John Cena
After John Cena ambushed WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater, their Nexus leader, Wade Barrett, decided there was only one course of action. The Englishman called out the man he had fired, but Cena was already in the arena parking lot.
The Englishman then ordered his minions to flood the parking lot. When The Nexus members did just that, however, they soon found themselves confronted by a host of Raw Superstars there to face off against them. As his former Nexus cohorts were beaten or fled, Cena told Barrett - the only man who can hire him back - that he would not relent until he took out each and every one of The Nexus’ members.

For more information go to fedexforum.com or wwe.com.I'm getting a little aggravated with wrestling fans bashing the idea of John Cena's new "Juan Cena" gimmick. After he was fired by WWE, you had to understand that this was going to happen. In fact, there's enough of a track record to have seen this coming.
We have seen this so many times before. Wrestler X gets fired/suspended/prevented from another title shot. They then go through the simplest bit of logic conceivable: If I can't wrestle, then I'll wrestle as "not me!" Convinced that it is fool proof, Wrestler X begins to parade around sporting a mask.
In most situations, even the casual fan is aware of this new masked wrestler's identity. The game then continues on with a person or a group wishing to uncover Wrestler X for lying about who they are.
WWE has done this with Mr. America (Hulk Hogan), Los Conquistadors (Edge and Christian/The Hardys) and even Santina Marella (Santino, as if anyone couldn't guess on that one). Even TNA has used the gag recently with Suicide (Kazarian) and Curry Man (Christopher Daniels).
Why is it that, at the idea of John Cena becoming Juan Cena and potentially sporting a mask, wrestling fans begin to cry foul? We all enjoyed, at least for a little bit, when we saw Los Conquistadors, who were named Uno and Dos. We laughed along when Vince McMahon went to expose Hogan as Mr. America and had his claims responded by Mr. America saying, "I'm not Hulk Hogan, dude." Even though Santina didn't wear a mask, maybe she should have. Just saying...
As we prepare for a three-hour RAW tonight with The Miz's first address as WWE Champion and a new King of the Ring to be crowned, we will likely also see Juan Cena's "debut" tonight and it is only fair to look at this storyline in the same capacity that those similar gimmicks have had.
Why is it that, because it is Cena, everyone has to attack this idea? While I am not happy about this storyline either, I accept it because it is how things have gone in the past. It's ridiculous and insults our intelligence, but it is the price we pay for wanting to see Cena fired.
Cena did a funny bit where he gave Barret and Miz a Five Knuckle Shuffle simultaneously (so I guess that would be a TEN Knuckle Shuffle!). Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Barrett, then Alex Riley pulled Cena from the ring, allowing Miz to sneak in and get the pin. Afterward, Miz and Riley got the AA from Cena to send the crowd home happy.
Cena never came out at any point in the show to set up the whole Juan Cena thing (and the group of us sitting together thought the same thing about having Darren Young do some of the Juan Cena stuff too!)…so he just came out to the Cena music, did the same moves, etc. There was not a whole lot of creativity to it.
