HBK said the following about Cena:

John Cena As The Face Of WWE:

“I think John does a great job…..it’s gonna be impossible not to be partial to John. Because I like him and I like him because he is a good guy. He is the hardest working guy in that company. There isn’t anyone who puts in more time then John Cena. The only thing that works against John, and I tell you this with love…..you hardcore guys just decided to dislike him.”

WWE Champion John Cena vs. CM Punk

WWE Champion John Cena vs. CM Punk

On his last night in WWE, the calculating and determined CM Punk challenges WWE Champion John Cena at Money in the Bank, emanating from his hometown of Chicago. Not only does Punk intend to humble The Champ and the entire WWE Universe with a decisive final victory on July 17, but leave WWE with its most coveted prize fastened around his waist.

After defeating his longtime nemesis Rey Mysterio at Capitol Punishment, The Second City Savior performed what he called “the most honest thing the WWE Universe has ever seen” by brazenly and vehemently demanded a WWE Title Match with The Champ at the second annual Money in the Bank event. However, Raw’s General Manager wasn’t too keen on having his authority overstepped, and placed The Straight Edge Superstar in a Triple Threat Match that forced Punk to earn the No. 1 contendership he boldly claimed to already possess.

In a Falls Count Anywhere Match, its stipulation chosen by the WWE Universe, Punk overcame both Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio to earn the right to challenge Cena at Chicago’s Allstate Arena. Following that momentous victory, the New Nexus leader revealed that his WWE contract will expire that very night in the Windy City, vowing to end his career in WWE as its champion.

Never truly seeing eye to eye, Cena and Punk have clashed numerous times in the past, but this bout might prove to be their most bombastic encounter yet. With Cenation behind him, can The Champ overcome the devious Punk in his hometown? Or will The Second City Savior leave Chicago – and WWE – with his first WWE Championship? To find out, tune in to WWE Money in the Bank, July 17, only on pay-per-view.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS 6/20/2011

MONDAY NIGHT RAW
6/20/2011
in BALTIMORE – Let freedom ring! One night after WWE swept into Washington D.C. for Capitol Punishment, democracy continued to bloom as the WWE Universe exercised their right to vote thanks to a special, three-hour Raw: Power to the People.
SmackDown GM Theodore Long arranged main event match
There are losers and there are sore losers. And then there are R-Truth, Christian and The Miz. After coming up empty last night, the three complained to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long until he agreed to arrange a Six-Man Tag Team Match main event pitting WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley against Truth, Christian & Miz.

WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley def. R-Truth, Christian & The Miz in an Elimination Tag Team Matc

While members of the WWE Universe were busy exercising their rights, R-Truth, Christian & The Miz were busy exercising their mouths.

The three came up short at Capitol Punishment the night before and had complained to SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who finally arranged a match for them against WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley.

The only question that remained was under which stipulation would the six fight? The WWE Universe determined they would battle in an Elimination Match (79%), far surpassing the one fall to a finish (15%) and 20-minute time limit (6%) options.

When the bell rang, the tension reverberating between the six Superstars was clearly evident. Hot off his massive victory over Miz, A-Ry appeared pumped. He took the fight to Christian and his former boss like a veteran ring leader. Although the aggression was impressive, Riley found himself the first to be eliminated. Next up, Miz and R-Truth would fall in close succession, leaving Christian to tackle both Cena & Orton.

Captain Charisma grew so excited at having eliminated the World Heavyweight Champion that he appeared not to remember The Champ remained in the bout. As Christian occupied himself with Cena, The Viper slithered in and nailed him with a surprise RKO. The move allowed the WWE Champion to snap on the STF, forcing Christian to tap out and handing Cena’s squad the victory

WWE Capitol Punishment Pay-Per-View 2011 RESULTS

WWE Capitol Punishment Pay-Per-View
Sunday, 6/19/2011
John Cena VS R-Truth for the WWE Championship

WWE Champion John Cena def. R-Truth

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Driven by bitterness and fury, the unhinged R-Truth vowed to silence the “Little Jimmys” of the WWE Universe by toppling their hero, John Cena, and leaving Capitol Punishment with the WWE Championship he had stolen from The Champ just six days earlier. However, after nearly ending Cena’s WWE Title reign in the District of Columbia, it was the delusional Superstar who got “got” in this volatile main event, which culminated with a “splash.”

Truth has gleefully intimidated members of Cenation over the past several weeks, but it was one of Cena’s loyal admirers at the Verizon Center who would show the former rapper “what’s up” during his first-ever one-on-one WWE Title opportunity. When Truth tried to steal a drink from a young fan at ringside, the stalwart Cenation member cooled off the hip-hop hothead by throwing the beverage in his face. This allowed Cena to capitalize by tossing the stunned Truth back in the ring for a much-deserved Attitude Adjustment.

After losing a WWE Title opportunity to John Morrison on Raw back in April, Truth revealed a more sinister side to his personality, proclaiming that his past desire to entertain the WWE Universe kept him from attaining championship glory in WWE. Furthermore, in Truth’s warped version of reality, he has been the victim of an elaborate “conspiracy” that has kept him from unleashing his true potential.

Taking out his many frustrations on Morrison and Rey Mysterio, Truth went on to target yet another former friend in Cena, but he didn’t stop there. On multiple occasions, Truth has antagonized members of Cenation face-to-face, using Cena’s connection with his fans to get inside the WWE Champion’s head. In fact, it was one such vile encounter with a father and son that helped Truth earn a count-out victory over Cena on the May 30 edition of Raw. Following that heinous distraction – which catapulted Truth into a WWE Title bout with Cena at Capitol Punishment – the conspiracy theorist shockingly doused the elder Cena fan with a beverage. However, bound together by mutual hustle, loyalty and respect, neither the denizens of Cenation nor their leader were about to let this transgression go unpunished.

Multiple times during this emotionally charged confrontation, Truth nearly put away The Champ to capture his first WWE Title – a notable achievement given his recent “secession” from the WWE Universe. However, in spite of his rugged offense and conspiracy-fueled determination, Truth was no match for Cena’s perseverance and a little liquid retribution from Cenation.

As disturbed as he might be, Truth’s remarkable performance at Capitol Punishment proves he is a force to be reckoned with on Raw whether the “Little Jimmys” of the world like it or not. Nevertheless, Cenation has plenty of reason to celebrate following Cena’s impressive WWE Title defense in Washington, D.C. Hail to The Champ!

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS 6/13/2011

MONDAY NIGHT RAW
6/13/2011

in UNIONDALE, N.Y. - With Capitol Punishment a mere six days away, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin took the helm of the S.S. Raw and guided her through some turbulent seas.

CM Punk def. WWE Champion John Cena in a Non-Title Match

R-Truth is crazy like a fox. As the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title, Truth plotted to improve his odds going into this Sunday’s Capitol Punishment, when he will face off against WWE Champion John Cena. As The Champ competed against CM Punk, he proved unrelenting in his attack. Never one to give up, Cena fought through The Second City Savior’s assault.

And since The New Nexus was banned from ringside, The Champ probably thought he was in for a fair fight. Alas, Truth wasn’t about to let that happen, not with a mere six days until their title match at Capitol Punishment. The “Jimmy” hating jerk distracted Cena, handing Punk the opportunity he needed to overcome The Champ. Truth then snatched the WWE Title, clobbered Cena in the face with it and taunted his incapacitated adversary.

John Cena interviewed by Bright House Network's Rock Riley

THE VIDEO URL IS DOWN BELOW!

WWE champion was interviewed by Bright House Network’s Rock Riley. Here are some highlights of what Cena said about:

Preparing For Life After Wrestling: “I have an extreme realist concept about me living this dream. I know that it’s entertainment and everything has an end point,” Cena said.

“Cena said he believes developments in this area have to do with the wrestling industry coming out of the dark ages decades behind advancements made by the NFL, MLB, and NBA in the area of protecting their players.

“Nowadays, we have talent given financial advisement, we have advisement on health care, they have to pass health exams, they’re drug tested. “You’re pointing talent in more of a direction to say, ‘Listen, this is the entertainment business. You have what you have while you’re in it and there will be an end point, so we’re preparing you for after that end point.’”

’s Retirement: “This is the decision – I know Adam very well and he lives wrestling and is one of the best – but, if this were 1980, he would still be wrestling,” Cena said.

“Now, he got the advice, he said this is not the way for me to go, and on the spot, said, ‘I’m retiring.’ It was a decision that came out of nowhere, but there were some health risks involved and it was, ‘Listen, do you want to keep doing this and never walk again or do you want to live a normal life?’

“The obvious decision with the help of the doctors and WWE is, ‘I’m going to retire.’ That’s an example of how far the talent has evolved.”

Being A Role Model For Kids: “It’s a PG program, so I know a lot of kids watch our programming and in a world where role models are fleeting… I know where I’m at. I know WWE looks at me to be that guy. I was a team leader in college. I know what responsibilities you assume when you become a leader.”

WWE Champion John Cena vs. R-Truth at Capitol Punishment

WWE Champion John Cena vs. R-Truth at Capitol Punishment

With fire in his eyes and disdain for the WWE Universe in his heart, the bitter and psychologically unbalanced R-Truth challenges his former friend John Cena for the WWE Championship at Capitol Punishment in Washington, D.C.

After earning a non-title victory over The Champ via count-out, Truth was awarded aWWE Championship bout with Cena under the condition that he apologize for his heinous actions on Raw, intimidating and dousing a Cenation member in the audience with a beverage. Although it pained him to do so, the delusional conspiracy theorist issued a reluctant apology to secure his title opportunity.

Truth – who announced his “secession” from the WWE Universe – has boldly asserted that his past affection for his fans distracted him from attaining championship glory in WWE, and that his fondness for entertaining the little “Jimmys” of the world has yielded him little success in the ring. Giving his fans “the boot” and accusing WWE of plotting a vast conspiracy against him, Truth has gone on to vent his many frustrations on the likes of John Morrison and Rey Mysterio, and is eager to use his aggression to elevate him to new heights in WWE with his first-ever WWE Title victory over The Cenation Commander-in-Chief.

Given Truth’s unhinged psyche as of late, it’s unsettling to think that the former rapping Superstar served as a trustworthy voice of reason for Cena during The Champ’s unwilling Nexus servitude under Wade Barrett in 2010. Were Truth’s words of encouragement genuine, or was the hip-hop hothead merely using the guise of friendship to get inside Cena’s head?

A former rapper himself – once known to the WWE Universe as The Doctor of Thuganomics – Cena’s longtime dedication to reciprocating his fans’ hustle, loyalty and respect in the ring and on the microphone has hardly served as a setback as it allegedly has Truth. In spite of his successful rap album and multiple feature films to his credit, The Champ hasn’t lost his focus, attaining 10 World Championships since his WWE debut in 2002. With that in mind, Cena will no doubt be looking to knock some sense and perspective into Truth’s head at the first-ever Capitol Punishment pay-per-view.

Will “The Truth” set John Cena free – of his title? Or will The Champ give the resentful Truth a much-needed Attitude Adjustment? To find out, tune in to Capitol Punishment, June 19 at 8/7 CT, only on pay-per-view.
