JUAN CENA'S CONTRACT TERMINATED BY WWE

John Cena announced on his Twitter account this morning that World Wrestling Entertainment terminated their contract with Juan Cena last night at approximately 9:00 p.m.

“CeNation. Wwe reports that last night at approximatley 9pm est. It terminated its contract with cousin of john cena, juan,” Cena wrote. “The wwe wishes juan the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

John Cena won Slammy Award for Holy %@*^ Move of the Year; Wade Barrett rehired John Cena

Just after John Cena won the award for Holy %@*^ Move of the Year – thanks to nailing Batista with an Attitude Adjustment from a car and through a stage – another Holy %@*^ moment occurred. Wade Barrett took to the ring and announced that he was rehiring his arch-nemesis John Cena, but only under two conditions. First, Cena must face his former Nexus boss in a Chairs Match at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs this Sunday. Secondly, Cena was forced to battle David Otunga later in the evening.

The WWE Universe has stood by John Cena over the course of a difficult year. Their latest show of support came in the form of a Slammy Award for WWE Superstar of the Year, which was voted on by the WWE Universe, exclusively on WWE.com. After Cena’s acceptance speech, the Superstar changed gears to prepare for his match against David Otunga.

As a newly rehired employee, Cena showed the WWE Universe why he loves his job. He faced off against Otunga in singles competition. During the bout, Nexus leader Wade Barrett ordered the rest of Nexus off the stage and away from the ring, presumably to prevent them from assisting Otunga. If that was the Englishman’s intent, he succeeded wildly. Cena locked the STF on his Nexus opponent and forced Otunga to tap out. He then grabbed a chair and proceeded to repeatedly smash Otunga as Barrett, his opponent in a Chairs Match at WWE TLC, looked on uneasily.

.. JEFF HARDY IMITATES JOHN CENA ..

During a match between Jeff Hardy and Jay Lethal on November 30th in Abu Dhabi as part of TNA Wrestling's tour of the region, Hardy used some of WWE Superstar John Cena's mannerisms. For example, he hit Lethal with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and used the "You Can See Me" motion. This was said to get major pops from the crowd.

In recent weeks we’ve been covering the story that WWE is testing a new masked character for John Cena, his “Mexican cousin,” Juan Cena. Juan Cena has been competing at live WWE events, wrestling in main events against The Miz, Wade Barrett and Kane.

This past weekend, Juan Cena wrestled at live events in Kentucky and Tennesse, challenging Kane in the main events .. Both matches ended with Nexus storming the ring, attacking Cena and removing his mask – only to have Cena fight back and send Nexus running.

From what we’ve heard, WWE is still testing out the character and there are no immediate plans to introduce him as an on-air character. However, fans who attend live events in the coming months have a good chance of seeing Juan Cena

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov outlasted WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater, The Usos and Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Tag Team Match. The shocking win came after John Cena disrupted the bout, slipping out from under the ring to rattle his former Nexus cohorts, Slater & Gabriel. The distraction allowed the international

men of misery to capitalize and capture the WWE Tag Team Titles to much fanfare, namely Santino’s imaginary trombone.

John Cena attacked David Otunga

Room service, anyone? After conducting a Raw interview via satellite from his hotel room, David Otunga was confronted and attacked by a stealthy John Cena, who had infiltrated the space. Anticipating a Cena strike, however, Husky Harris ambushed the former WWE employee from behind. Despite the trap, though, Cena managed to beat back his attackers, with Otunga bolting for the door, leaving his Nexus cohort behind to feel the pain.

John Cena confronted Wade Barrett

The sun appears to be setting on Wade Barrett’s empire. The cocky Englishman called out John Cena and told him once again that he would never hire him back onto WWE. In that case, Cena informed him, he will never stop ambushing The Nexus. Stalemate.

In a moment of frustration, Barrett ordered his Nexus minions to attack. In a moment of utter defiance, however, each member of the band of outlaws turned their backs on Barrett, walking instead to the locker room area. Their mutiny left the Englishman a sitting duck, and Cena knew it. He charged Barrett, who somehow managed to squirm away and dart for the lockers.

Once in the locker room area, the Nexus leader beelined for David Otunga, who gladly told Barrett he has two options: Either he hires Cena back next week, or the Englishman is no longer a part of The Nexus.

John Cena’s Mexican cousin Juan returned to action this weekend at the RAW live event in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The masked superstar defeated World Heavyweight champion Kane by disqualification after Nexus came down and attacked him. After Nexus took Cena’s mask off, he fought back and sent them running away to end the show.

Despite reports that Juan Cena had been pulled from advertising for upcoming select shows, the Mexican cousin of John Cena worked last night’s WWE Supershow event in Jackson, Tennessee. He beat World Heavyweight Champion Kane by disqualification when The Nexus attacked the masked grappler.

- While WWE has pulled the Juan Cena character from upcoming RAW events, he is still being advertised for new shows as well. Juan is scheduled to face Wade Barrett on January 21st at the RAW event in Trenton, New Jersey at the Sun National Bank Center.

Thanks to online nominations from the WWE Universe, WWE and former Raw Superstar John Cena have been named finalists in four award categories at the 2010 Mashable Awards.

The fourth annual Mashable Awards, presented by Mashable.com, “celebrate major innovations and achievements in the digital and social media landscape by companies, people and projects via an open, multilingual, international, community-nominated voting platform.”

• WWE is a finalist for the “Must Follow Brand” award. (VOTE NOW).
• John Cena is a finalist for “Must Follow Personality” (VOTE NOW) and “Most Influential Social Good Champion” (VOTE NOW).
• Stand Up For WWE is a finalist for “Most Creative Social Media Campaign.” (VOTE NOW).

The awards are decided by Internet vote. You can vote once per day in each award category until voting ends on Dec. 15.

The Mashable Awards results will be revealed live online at the 2011 International CES Convention on Jan. 6 in Las Vegas.
