Today isn’t just National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day (what, you didn’t know?); it’s also officially 200 days until WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1, 2012.
The countdown that began the day afterWrestleMania XXVII with the announcement of John Cena and The Rock’s blockbuster bout is moving full speed ahead. At the 200-day milestone mark on the Road to WrestleMania, WWE.com looks into a hazy crystal ball in an attempt to predict how the rest of The Biggest Spectacle of Them All main events might shape up.
John Cena vs. The Rock with special guest referee CM Punk The truly epic clash between the sports-entertainment’s greatest titans, The Cenation Commander-in-Chief and The People’s Champion, is exciting enough for the WWE Universe to mobilize to Miami on April 1. This includes CM Punk, whose used his so-called handheld “pipe bomb” to criticize the WrestleMania XXVIII main event. The Straight Edge Superstar may not be able to squeeze himself into the action, but he’d make a most impartial guest referee in that he presumably loathes both John Cena and The Rock equally. As long as the WWE Universe gets to see Punk compete in his own confrontation at WrestleMania earlier in the night, The Straight Edge Superstar could be the genuine X-factor in this match for the ages.
